A former defenceman with the Cariboo Cougars has signed on the dotted line in the WHL.
Today (Thursday), the Prince George Cougars added Smithers-born blueliner Ryan Richter to a scholarship and development contract.
Richter played for the Burnaby Winter Club last season where he tallied 23 points in 31 games.
The 16-year-old played with the U15 Cariboo program in 2022-23 amassing 15 points.
If Richter does not crack the Cougars roster, he will suit up for the Delta Hockey Academy this season.
The Cougars also announced the signing of Russian import player Arseni Anisimov this morning.
