Fraser – Fort George Cultural Plan Approved

The District of Fraser-Fort George has approved a new Regional Cultural Plan.

The Plan establishes funding and common goals for cultural facilities around the region including the Two Rivers Art Gallery and Huble Homestead.

“For the residents it means the cultural facilities that they know and love will continue to be supported through the regional district with some annual funding” said Renee McCloskey with the Regional District.

It’s uncommon for regions to fund facilities this way.

“The Regional District is one of the only local governments in the province and likely nationally that has taken the approach that we have in regard to supporting our cultural sites” said McCloskey

Included in the new plan are more opportunities for Cultural Sites to collaborate for more joint events.
