A Prince George man is facing multiple charges after police interrupted a break and enter.
Around 7:30 on Monday morning, police received reports of a new, expensive-looking mountain bike being left in an alley near 2nd avenue.
After checking up on several businesses, they found one had been illegally entered… and somebody was still inside.
Officers discovered a man dressed in new clothing who appeared to be removing another bike, and arrested him without incident.
After reviewing surveillance tapes, police saw the suspect removing four more bikes before their arrival, and after investigating further, they were able to recover over $26,000 worth of merchandise related to the robbery.
The bike found in the alley was seen on the surveillance footage.
34-year-old Clinton Levi Poitras is facing charges of breaking and entering, as well as theft over five thousand dollars.
Poitras will remain in custody until he appears in court later today.
