Don't put all your eggs in LNG basket warns economist

The devil is in the details when it comes to LNG development.

That from UNBC Economics Professor Paul Bowles.

Bowles also says LNG projects in British Columbia depend very much on the price difference between the price of LNG in North America and in Asia.

So anything that narrows that difference, like if Russia starts pumping huge amounts of gas to China, will lower that price difference which will affect profitability.

It was just last week China and Russia signed a 30 year, $400 billion dollar LNG deal.
