2024 US Presidential Election on pace to set wagering record in BC

BC Gamblers will be putting their money where their mouth is during tomorrow’s (Tuesday) US Presidential Election.

It is anticipated it will be the most popular betting event of the year in the province.

Matt Lee with the BC Lottery Corporation told Vista Radio there are no shortage of wagering options outside of who will win the presidential race.

“Outside of just the US Election winner, gamblers can also bet on the popular vote as well as who will get the most votes in the United States. You can also bet on some of the battleground states such as Wisconsin, Michigan, Pennsylvania and, North Carolina just to name a few.”

The 2020 US Election remains the single biggest betting event in Playnow.com’s history when a record 4.5 million dollars was wagered across more than 16-thousand bets.

“I think US Election betting has always been popular on Playnow and has been since 2014 but this year will be no different,” added Lee.

“Whether it’s coming up at the family dinner table or at the water cooler with your co-workers – certainly, the US Election that commands the attention around the globe.”
