Local product Vicei commits to UNBC Timberwolves

A Prince George product will be continuing his soccer career with the UNBC Timberwolves.

Head Coach Steve Simonson announced today (Sunday) winger Sascha Vicei has committed to the Timberwolves.

Viceci, a College Heights Secondary class of 2023 grad, is currently enrolled at UNBC and is studying nursing.

He spent the 2024 season training with the team.

Vicei earned the Top Striker Award for the Cougars in his final year of high school soccer.

“I thought it was a good fit for me, transitioning from the [Prince George Youth Soccer Association],” Vicei sad.

“I’ve been playing with a lot of these guys since I was young, and then talking with Steve obviously there’s a great support staff and coaching here. It’s been awesome.”

Vicei added he’s focused on getting his fitness level as high as possible for next season.
