Friday marking Plaid Friday in Downtown Prince George

Downtown Prince George will be painting the town a different type of red on Friday as they celebrate Plaid Friday.

“Plaid Friday is an opportunity for Downtown Prince George to celebrate our unique businesses,” said Downtown PG Executive Director Colleen Van Mook.

“Many of our downtown businesses will be celebrating plaid with special discounts, even some in-store contests.”

Van Mook noted there will be a “Plaid Patrol”, looking for people who are wearing plaid.

“If you get caught wearing plaid, we have some fun swag gifts, we have some plaid bucks that you can spend in our stores and restaurants, we have hot chocolate or coffee available from Zoey’s,” she explained.

“We have partnered with Festival of Trees, so there will be some admission coupons available so people can visit the Festival of Trees for the weekend.”

In addition, Downtown PG will be hosting an online contest on Facebook and Instagram for a lunch for six at a downtown restaurant.
