A two-vehicle crash in BC’s Peace Region has claimed a life.
According to the North District RCMP, Fort St. John Mounties responded to a crash involving a pickup truck and a van on Highway 97 near Charlie Lake just after 5:35 pm last night (Monday).
The victim was found deceased at the scene. BC Ambulance Service transported the second driver to the Fort St John Hospital with injuries for treatment.
The highway was shut down for approximately 7 hours while the North District RCMP Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Unit attended to assist with the investigation.
Alcohol and road conditions are not believed to be a factor
