Katherine Carlson exits Central BC Railway & Forestry Museum for Home Builders Association

The Canadian Home Builders’ Association (CHBA) of Northern BC has tabbed Katherine Carlson as its new Executive Officer.

“Katherine brings the experience and attributes we need to support the association’s continued growth, to skillfully advocate for our members, and firmly position us as the voice of residential construction in our region. Her passion and history of leadership in delivering programs, education, and public events will continue to elevate us. We warmly welcome Katherine to the association!” – said Angèle Heinrichs, Association President.

A graduate of UNBC, Carlson’s roots are entrenched in Prince George. She has a passion for travel, endless learning, and experience in nonprofit organization
leadership, she is an active volunteer as an invested Rotarian, and a membership lead with Team Rubicon Canada.

Most recently, Carlson held the same role with the Central BC Railway & Forestry Museum.

“I believe that leadership is the spearhead that propels an organization forward. At the Canadian Home Builders’ Association of Northern BC, this means advancing through advocacy, education, and the latest in building technology. I’m thrilled to connect with and collaborate with industry leaders, represent the industry’s voice, contribute to equitable policy-making, learn from various stakeholders, and both encourage and be inspired in professional development endeavors aimed at benefiting the industry and
consumers alike,” stated Carlson.

She assumed the position today (Monday) succeeding Terri McConnachie, who led the association for the past 11 years.
