Drive-by shooting being investigated by Dawson Creek RCMP

Dawson Creek RCMP is seeking public assistance into an incident of a drive by shooting.

At 1:00am this morning (Friday), officers responded to a report of shots fired at a residence in the 1100 block of 119 Avenue in Dawson Creek.

Police said a suspect vehicle sped away from the location, but was quickly located, and when officers attempted to conduct a stop, the suspects fired shots.

Officers re-located the suspect vehicle unoccupied and a police service dog was deployed.

Two suspects were located, arrested and remain in custody, with the third suspect fleeing in a dark coloured mid-2000s GMC or Chevy pickup truck, which will have significant front-end damages from driving into a police car while evading arrest.

The suspect is described as the following:

  • Approximately 5’8
  • Thin build
  • Brown hair and eyes
  • Has a tattoo down the right side of neck along his hair line
  • Tunnel piercings in ears

Anyone with information about the man or vehicle is asked to contact Dawson Creek RCMP.

Nobody was injured in the incident, and an investigation is ongoing.
