Several UNBC Timberwolves are exceling in the classroom as they are in their respective sports once again.

On Tuesday, the university recognized 15 student-athletes as Academic All-Canadians for the 2023-2024 school year.

The annual U SPORTS Academic All-Canadian ceremony and dinner, was held at the Charles McCaffrey Hall and honoured students who have achieved a Grade Point Average of 3.67 (an A- letter grade) or higher.

“One of the most rewarding parts of our year is when we get to recognize a special group of student-athletes who have achieved Academic All-Canadian status,” said Loralyn Murdoch, UNBC Director of Athletics and Recreation. “The 15 individuals recognized today have all played a valuable role in maintaining a standard and a culture of success at UNBC.”

During the 2023-24 school year, it was the UNBC Women’s basketball team who captured the Office of the Provost Academic Achievement award thanks to their collective GPA of 3.44.
