Northern Lights Estate Winery in Prince George stormed out of the gate with a productive first year.
Owner, Doug Bell says sales were very good.
“We’ve sold over 15 thousand bottles this year from a variety of different wines so we’re excited to see if we can increase that number next year and we are even more excited about some of the new wines coming this Christmas including our cranberry wine.”
Bell adds despite being open just a year, they have already seen a rise in requests.
“We are starting to see some requests for wine not only in Prince George but in the western part of the province as well as some of the northern cities so we thing of ourselves as the northern winery not just Prince George.”
The winery will shut down in November before re-starting in December.
It opened to the public on June 26th.
