Spruce Kings grab a point in OT loss to Langley

The Prince George Spruce Kings picked up a critical point, but the team that got the other two is the team the Spruce Kings need to not get points.

The Spruce Kings fell 2-1 in overtime to the Langley Rivermen Saturday night.

Ryan Schelling opened the scoring for Langley 7:25 into the first.

After that, the stayed stagnant until the final minutes.

With Charles-Edward Gravel on the bench, Brock Cummings tied the game with 2:06 remaining in regulation.

Keenan Ingram broke the hearts of the 1,124 at Kopar Memorial Arena, coring the winner 1:03 into the extra frame.

The Spruce Kings (19-24-4-1) are two points back of the Rivermen (18-21-8-1)in the race for the last playoff spot in the BCHL’s Coastal Conference.

Federal grant funding gives several PG sports facilities a face lift

June home sales were hot across the BC Northern Real Estate Board

Northern BC home sales were ahead of their 10-year average in June after 476 unit sales were made according to the BC Real Estate Association. That's a year-over-year spike of 11.7% when compared to the same time last year.
