Canfor Pulp supports The Exploration Place’s STEAM Gallery with sponsorship

The Exploration Place announced a $40,000 sponsorship from Canfor Pulp to go towards its Children’s STEAM Gallery.

The gallery is scheduled to open this year, featuring interactive exhibit fixtures, tailored to reflect the needs and interests of the community.

Executive Director Alyssa Leier said “Generous donations like this allow us to expand our offerings and reinforce our role as a community hub where science and culture meet, inspiring a lifelong love of learning.”

Canfor has been a longstanding supporter of The Exploration Place, contributing to several major projects throughout the museum’s history, with the latest support building on that.

The Exploration Place said the support from community and provincial partners will help elevate the museum’s offerings and make a lasting impact on young learners across Northern BC.

Work on the gallery is set to begin once fixtures are received, and rather than closing the gallery during the set-up process, fixtures will be added as they arrive.

Canfor joins Y.P. Heung Foundation and the Prince George Community Foundation as supporters of the gallery.
