Prince George is rolling out the red carpet for gamers and pop culture fans from across northern B.C. and beyond to the first-ever Video Games Prince George (VGPG) Gaming Expo.
It is running Friday through Sunday at the House of Ancestors.
The three-day event will celebrate all things gaming with free play gaming, panels, around 20 vendors, trivia, and even a video game music cover band.
VGPG will also be hosting Mythic 2.0 which is the largest e-sports event ever held in Prince George.
“It’s going to be Street Fighter 6, Super Smash Brothers Ultimate, Rivals of Aether 2, and Guilty Gear Strive.” said Co-Organizer, Kelsy Polnik.
“We’re going to have the best players in our area and willing to travel for it compete for up to $5,000 in head to head matches all weekend.”
Polnik added that people will be travelling from Prince Rupert, Vancouver, and Edmonton to compete.
“We have a fantastic community in Prince George that we regularly see at our store,” says Pat, owner of Game Quest and Co-Organizer of VGPG. “Everyone is incredibly welcoming, and I can’t wait to see that on full display for the city to see.”
Weekend and single-day passes available on Game Quest’s website here.
