Hospice aiming to sell 1,000 Dream Home tickets for Dream Big for Hospice Day

Today (Wednesday) is one of the biggest days of the year for the Prince George Hospice Palliative Care Society.

Today is the annual Dream Big for Hospice Day, in which Hospice aims to sell 1,000 dream home lottery tickets in 12 hours.

“It’s always great when you see the whole community come together to help us,” said Hospice Executive Director Donna Flood.

The day features a number of “Celebrity” ticket sellers at the Dream Home, located at 7807 Southridge Avenue.

“This is our biggest selling day just because everybody is out there, they’re focused,” Flood said.

“There’s a little bit of friendly competition to see who’s going to sell the most tickets and they get the bragging rights and this beautiful trophy. It really is a day where we have a whole team of people doing a lot of the work for us.”

Celebrity sellers will be at home until 6:00 pm.

The Dream Home Lottery is Hospice’s biggest fundraiser of the year.
