An Amnesty International art exhibit is on display at the College of New Caledonia.
The exhibit entitled “In/visible Scars” features photo banners of individuals who have experienced torture, along with profiles of each survivor.
“It sends a very strong message to Canadians to get to know about what the torture means and also what we can do” said Seiko Watanabe with Amnesty International. “For instance sending a letter to the Canadian government to take a very strong stance against torture.”
There will also be a special screening in connection with the exhibit.
“We’re going to be showcasing a video called Rosewater on November the 29th which is a Sunday evening at 7PM.” said James Lovitt with the CNC Library.
The exhibit will be on display outside the CNC Library until November 30th.
