Central Mountain Air adds Seats on Popular Flights

Sometimes bigger is better.

Central Mountain Air is bringing in bigger planes to increase capacity on their flights between Kelowna, Prince George and Terrace. Currently, flights on that route only have 18 seats.

“We’re using a combination of the Dornier 328 and the Dash 8-300” said McCrea. “The Dornier has 30 seats and the Dash 8 has 37.”

He says the new aircraft will create plenty of space for Holiday travelers.

“We saw the current flight was filling up more days than not, and we decided to add a bit of capacity to that routing” said Central Mountain Air President Douglas McCrea. “Certainly we don’t expect it to fill up to the full capacity…we expect to see in the mid 20 range on the flight.”

The bigger planes will hit the runway on December 1st.
