Sexual Assault will be one of the topics of discussion during an open house at the Northern Women’s Centre on Monday.
Practicum Student, Shelley LeBreton says the provincial numbers are staggering. “2,341 sexual assaults were reported in BC last year, and its an under-reported statistic. Reports actually reflect 18% of what is the reality.”
“We are going to be setting up displays that will cover stats on physical and sexual assault in BC, we will also be promoting what a healthy relationship is.” LeBreton added
The open house runs form 11am to 3pm.
