A Little Help From Mother Nature Re-Opens Ice Oval

IceOvalBobcat Colder temperatures overnight means skaters will, once again, be able to take to the ice at the outdoor oval today.

OIO Society spokesperson, Dick Voneugen, says the ice looks great right now.

He says there are a few rough spots along outer edges, but those areas are marked with cones.  Voneugen says the Learn-to-Speed-Skate program will be  a ‘go’ today.

The only catch – warmer afternoon temperatures could mean the gates to the facility will remain open for just a few hours, so lace up and get out there!
