Three Halls Called Out To House Fire In The Hart

pg-fire-depot-logo (1)No one was injured in a house fire in the Hart last night.

Assistant Fire Chief Denis Poulin says 17 firefighters from three halls responded to the blaze in the 73-hundred block of Carr Road.

Poulin says a smoke detector alerted the lone occupant of the home to the blaze – the resident found flames in the ceiling of one room, but was able to escape, uninjured, and phone 911.

The blaze extended into the roof, but was quickly extinguished by firefighters, who remained on-scene for two-hours to ensure all hotspots were out.

Damage is pegged at $100-thousand dollars.  The cause of the fire is undetermined, but is not thought to be suspicious.
