The latest job vacancy rate in BC sits at 3.4%, while Prince George is on par with the national average of 2.8%.

Stats Canada Analyst, Elton Cryderman says while fast food and retail still lead the way in the province, other categories saw a jump in the number of job vacancies. “We did see a lot of opening for office workers in B.C. and over 600 posting were found for auditors and accountants.”

It was slightly higher in the Prince George-Cariboo region at $18.80.
