Timberwolves men snap skid; women get swept

The UNBC Lady T-Wolves finished their women’s basketball season with a 75-60 loss against the Grant MacEwan Griffins in Edmonton on Saturday.

Vasiliki Louka led UNBC with 15 points while the Griffins were led by Kendall Lydon who netted 17.

The Timberwolves committed 23 turnovers leading to 26 points for MacEwan.

UNBC finishes with a 3-17 record.

On the men’s side, UNBC ended a 12 game losing streak on Saturday dumping Grant MacEwan 83-74, to close out the season 4-16.

The Timberwolves exploded with a 32 point fourth quarter to preserve the victory.

Rhys Elliott had a game-high 24 points while Ryan Coleman led the Griffins with 17.

UNBC shot 82% from the floor in the final quarter.
