The Prince George Humane Society will finally open its doors to the public at the end of the month.
Executive Director, Angela Lotze says they are happy to finally get settled.
“We’re really excited to be opening up an adoption and humane education centre. We have been operating in Prince George for about 8 months now and we found a need to expand in the community with other opportunities and be able to host other programs.”
The Humane Society has received $10,000 in cash donations so far with several rooms being sponsored.
One or two spaces are still available for sponsorship and anyone interested can call 250-640-7415.
The facility will be located at 1839 First Avenue.
Dogs will not be held long-term at the new building and will still remain in foster care.
However, people can still view dogs available for adoption during the day.
