Alyx Treasure of Prince George, who is attending Kansas State, tied for 2nd in the women’s high jump at the NCAA Division 1 Outdoor Track and Field Championships in Eugene, Oregon. The 22-year-old Treasure set a personal best with a leap of 1.86 metres.

–Brook-Lynn Kinnee of Prince George earned a pair of medals at the T&T Western Canada Cup Trampoline Championships in Calgary. Kinnee took silver on Double Mini Trampoline and Bronze on Trampoline Level 2 (14+).

–19-year-old Kristian Kiland captured the men’s open singles title at the Prince George Open tennis tournament. Kiland edged James Nearing in the final 7-5, 4-6, 7-6.

–Dave Olson of Quesnel drove to victory in the ASA OK Tire Challenge White Spruce 100 at PGARA. Corbin Thomas of Whiterock placed 2nd in the 23 car field.
