BC’s Independent Investigations Office has announced an administrative review into the office’s investigation into the 2012 death of Greg Matters.
Chief Civilian Director Richard Rosenthal says the decision was made following a complaint forwarded to him by the deputy attorney general.
He says the complaint raises a number of questions with respect to the investigation into Matter’s death.
Rosenthal says it will be conducted by Vancouver lawyer Mark Jette who will serve as a civilian monitor in the case, and stresses it’s not a re-opening of the investigation.
