The Ministry of Environment and Northern Health have issued a dust advisory for Prince George.
High concentrations of coarse particulate are expected to hamper the city until it rains or the streets are cleared of traction material. Levels tend to be the highest near busy streets.
People with chronic underlying medical conditions are advised to avoid exercise near busy roads or industrial sites.
The City of Prince George’s Clean Air Bylaw prohibits the use of wood burning appliances, except for sole wood users, during air quality advisories.
