Prince George Community Foundation hands out $35k

The Prince George Community Foundation held their grant award reception yesterday evening, handing out nearly $35,000.

The grants include;

Arts & Culture:
Bel Canto Choirs, Prince George Folkfest Society, Huble Homestead Heritage Society, Theatre Northwest.

Education:
Two Rivers Art Gallery, PG Conservatory of Music

Youth:
Scouts Canada, The Child Development Centre

Health:
The Arthritis Society, Prince George Council of Seniors, Canadian Red Cross Society

Social Services:
PG Activator Society, Prince George Montessori Education Society, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Prince George

Foundation President Teresa Saunders says the foundation has been at it for over two decades. “They truly are appreciated by the small non profit organizations for whom dollars don’t come easily, and who are always in need of dollars for projects they’d like to do.”

The Foundation has handed out more than $1.3 million in its 21 year history.
