With the graduation season in BC now in full swing, ICBC road speakers will be travelling North Central BC in May to share their stories.
The series tries to prevent serious crash involving students aged 16 to 21.
Spokesperson, Sam Corea says the numbers between April and June do not paint a pretty picture.
“On average 32 young people in that age group are killed each year on BC roads and during the pre-graduation months an average of 6 youths are killed.”
Presentations in Fort St. James, McBride, Mackenzie, Valemount and Quesnel will take place the first two weeks of May.
For the past 19 years, ICBC road safety speakers have shared their stories with 50,000 high school students in the province.
