Canada Post says Wednesday is the last day to send out mail in time for the Canada Day long weekend.
Postal workers in Prince George could be off the job as early as Saturday if a new deal isn’t reached.
Local Postal Workers Union President, Tami Brushey says they would prefer not to strike.
“No one wants a labour disruption, everyone wants to come to work every day and make Canada Post the successful business it already is and we’re hoping they recognise we are a major factor in that success.”
Brushey adds Canada Post made a $99,000,000 profit last year and posted a $44,000,000 profit during the first quarter of 2016.
