The Prince George Spruce Kings continued their busy off-season by adding 18-year old defenseman Sam De Melo from the Salmon Arm Silverbacks for Future Considerations.
De Melo recorded 3 assists in 26 games last season with the Silverbacks and also played at the Pursuit of Excellence program with fellow Spruce Kings Jarod Hovde and Cavin Tilsley.
He will join the rest of the team for training camp which will begin on August 25th.
