BC NDP Leader John Horgan holding forum for PG seniors tomorrow

Provincial opposition leader John Horgan will be in Prince George tomorrow to hear about the challenges local seniors face.

The BC NDP Leader will be joined by health and seniors spokespeople to find ways to better elder care, especially in senior homes.

Horgan says he’s already heard some concerning things in the Province, like workers overmedicating their patients.

“Some care facilities are depending rather than on more staff and more space to address the concerns of their patients they’re overprescribing pharmaceuticals ad that was a significant concern to me,” he says.

He believes your stories will make sure care is up to snuff.

“That facilities that we’re building, the facilities that we’re funding are appropriate for people at certain ages and at certain periods of their decline from good health to ill-health, and that’s the essence of our public health system.”

The forum begins at 11:30 AM at the Prince George Public Library.
