Weekend roadchecks nab close to 30 drivers

Summer roadchecks last weekend had a positive impact on northern roads.

E Division Traffic Corporal Robert McDonald says the number of driving violations dropped from around 50 to 30 year over year.

Most importantly he says there was no carnage on the roadways.

McDonald says violations included 13 90 driving prohibitions, two criminal charges for impaired driving and two 24 hour suspensions for drug use.
