Prince George RCMP to host therapy dog meet and greet

The Prince George RCMP will open its doors to the public on Monday during Animal Assistance Day in Canada.

Victim Services Coordinator, Krista Levar says the public will have a chance to get up close and personal with their three canines.

“Come on out and meet Max who is our Victim Services certified Therapy Dog and we will also introduce Yogi who is our pug in training and Henry who is also in training.”

The event runs from 3 to 4pm at the local detachment on Monday.

There will be colouring contests, games, treats, prizes and, of course, some fun tricks performed by Max.

Max has been working in Prince George for three years and has helped numerous clients with his calm, friendly and supportive personality while in the community, at the RCMP Detachment or at the court house.
