Cariboo Cougars begin journey to the Telus Cup

The first step towards the Telus Cup begins this weekend during the summer development camp for the Cariboo Cougars.

It begins tonight (Fri) and wraps up on Sunday from the Rolling Mix Concrete Arena.

Head Coach, Trevor Sprague says the majority of the team will be returning, meaning only a handful of spots are up for grabs.

“We had 4 17-year olds play with us last year so those guys will be replaced, Dorrin Luding is not coming back so we are looking for two number one goalies essentially and have guys step up to play in those positions a little better than we’ve had.”

The Cougars are the host team for the 2017 Telus Cup which takes place April 24-30 at CN Centre.

Scrimmages are open to the public and are at 2 and 6PM on Saturday and 10AM on Sunday.
