Vanderhoof RCMP recover body of missing man from Arthur Lake

The search for a man missing in Arthur Lake since last weekend has come to a sad conclusion.

Vanderhoof RCMP says they recovered the body of the 25-year-old drowning victim on Wednesday.

The man went missing when the boat he was fishing in with another individual capsized. The other man swam to shore and managed to flag down a passing motorist.

Terrace Search and Rescue were called in to assist with the search effort.

RCMP say foul play is not suspected and the Coroner’s Service has taken over the investigation.
