Prince George Cougars and Spirit of the North raise $60,000 during charity golf tournament

The numbers are in from the Fifth Annual Prince George Cougars Alumni Hospital Charity Golf Tournament.

$60,286.74 was raised during the two-day event which took place on July 15th and 16th.

“Once again we’ve been absolutely blown away by the support that the Prince George community has with the Cougars. It’s a real honour to feel as if we are all united in support of not just the Cougars the City of Prince George but also the Spirit of the North Healthcare Foundation.” said Cougars VP of business Andy Beesley

Both parties have raised $300,000 in the past five years to improve health care in the north.

This year, funds raised from the event will be put towards the purchase of cardiac heart monitors.
