Labour Ministers from across Canada meeting in Prince George on Friday

Labour Ministers from provinces and territories across Canada will be in Prince George on Friday for a major annual meeting.

“We meet regularly with our counterparts across the country and this time it’s a federal provincial territorial meeting.” BC Labour Minister Shirley Bond said

“So I’m very happy to of been able to invite the labour ministers to Prince George. We certainly have a busy agenda ahead and I am very proud to host.”

The ministers will be discussing labour policy, occupational health and safety and workplace productivity.

Bond pumped BC recent job numbers, stating the province is leading the country in economic growth.

“We work very constructively with our colleagues, we want to see all of Canada do well – it’s a chance to talk to our colleagues and share best practice but to also work together on tough issues.”

Federal Labour Minister MaryAnn Mihychuk will co-chair the meeting with Bond, which will be held at the PG Civic Centre.
