UPDATE: Power back in the West Bowl

UPDATE: BC Hydro crews were expected on scene around 10:35 AM. By 11:20 AM, the outage update on BC Hydro’s website had been removed.

Just over 3000 Prince George homes are in the dark this morning.

BC Hydro says the power went out in much of the west bowl at 9:39 AM Monday.

The affected area is between Tabor Boulevard and 22nd Avenue, East of Foothills Boulevard and West of Highway 97.

The outage is also affecting street lights. Drivers should treat each intersection like a four-way stop.

Crews arrived on scene at 10:35 AM.

We’ll have more information as it’s released.
