Raise A Reader grant applications now being accepted by Prince George Public Library

Charitable organizations needing support for local literacy projects can apply for Raise A Reader grants through the Prince George Public Library.

Communications Coordinator, Amy Dhanjal says over 20 groups got a piece of the pie in 2015.

“Twenty-two different organizations received funding with a community lending library that was started by Quinson Elementary School which is a really great project, that gave access to families and children who normally would not have access to one of our branches.”

The deadline to apply is December 14th and you can submit them to raiseareader@pgpl.ca.

Since 2007, $325,000 has been distributed to Raise A Reader grants in Prince George.
