Ness Lake search postponed

RCMP in Prince George have officially postponed the search for a man missing in Ness Lake.
The police’s underwater recovery team were unsuccessful after a weekend search of the lake, though a private dive crew from Idaho with experience in going deeper than police crews, say they plan to make the trip up North as early as next week.
The 29 year old man went missing in the lake last Thursday as he tried to get his young son who drifted away from his boat.
Though he returned his son to his boat, he sank under the water and was not wearing a floatation device.
His family is requesting his name not be released.

Organizers “extremely pleased” with Special Olympics BC Games

After two days of competition, the 2025 Special Olympics BC Summer Games have come to a close.  The games brought around 900 athletes to the Prince George area to compete in ten different sports on Friday and Saturday.  "With any large, large tournament like this, you're always running with your hair straight back just to get everything ready, and we certainly managed to put everything together," said Co-Chair of the Organizing Committee Lyn Hall.
