Nearly 1200 in southern Prince George without power

UPDATE 7:39 PM – BC Hydro no longer lists this location as a power outage site. Power should be back up.

1196 people are without power in the city’s south end.

BC Hydro is reporting that a motor vehicle accident on Highway 97 is the cause.

Crews are one scene now and expect power to be back up around 7 PM.

The power has been out since 4:52 PM.
