Cole Paciejewski picked a good time to return to the RPR Mechanical/BX Pub Bandits lineup.
His 10 point effort gave the Bandits a convincing 15-9 victory over the Westwood Pub Devils in the opening game of the Prince George Senior Lacrosse Championship. “It was nice to be back out there since I missed the first few battling forest fires as things really took off the last couple of weeks but it’s nice to be back and get a game in.”
The Bandits now lead the best-of-five series 1-0.
The line of Paciejewski, Drew Doig and Justin Parker put up a combined 28 points.
Despite the opening victory, Paciejewski says the series is far from over. “The are a tough and physical team that can play an in your face style of defence and they have a few guys that can get under my skin pretty well.”
Game 2 of the series is on Thursday at 8 pm from Kin 1.
Both teams will then get a five day break with game 3 slated for July 25.
