Police shooting in Valemount

The Independent Investigations Office is headed to Valemount, after a police shooting Wednesday.
Police responded to complaints at a Kinbasket Lake residence on two people, a man and a woman, occupying a property illegally.
The two traded fire with police, with the female suspect injured and transported to hospital. The male suspect did not survive.
Both RCMP officers were not injured.
Two rifles were seized at the scene.
