Efforts to get a new entry way at the Prince George Public Library are under-way. A petition is circulating around the city by the Friends of the Library group, asking city council to make renovating the front stairway a priority. President Margaret Johnston says council had originally put it into the 2015 capital projects plan, but it has now been pushed to 2017.
“We feel it is something that has been long needed, talking about downtown enhancement and all that” says Johnston, ”
A total cost to the project is not available. The petition will be out until October 5th and Johnston hopes to get around 2,000 signatures.
