It’s just days away from Christmas, meaning some people may be panicking with last minute shopping.

Businesses in the downtown core of Prince George are continuing its Holiday Shopping Passport, which started during Plaid Friday last month.

This initiative has made downtown an attractive shopping destination, Downtown PG Executive Director Colleen Van Mook.

“We felt really encouraged by people that were participating and we see that event as growing into the future,” she explains.

“We really are excited about how people are embracing downtown.”

Van Mook says it’s a great way to score that last minute gift.

“There is an opportunity to do a lot of shopping this Christmas right up to the very last minute so our businesses are open on Saturday if you need to get down and finish up your Christmas shopping.”

The Holiday Passport program runs until January 6th.

Von Mook goes on to say there are some businesses getting ready to celebrate New Years Eve downtown as well.
