Michael Landsberg talks mental health at UNBC Legacy Breakfast

Mental health was the topic of the 2018 UNBC Legacy Breakfast with special guest Michael Landsberg.

The advocate and acclaimed sports journalist spoke openly about his struggles, and how sharing eliminates the stigma.

“If they share a little bit with others and have a better understanding than maybe they can spread it, because it really is the opposite of a virus. No one wants to catch a virus, but sharing can be that contagious thing we all need to catch.”

– Michael Landsberg

He believes it’s time mental health was classified as a medical emergency which robs the quality of life for many Canadians.

More than 450 people attended the fourth annual event, raising money for UNBC athletic scholarships.
