New PG hockey centre to open doors for girls in the sport

A new BC Hockey Regional Centre is open in Prince George, one of two in the entire province.

Coaches and trainers showcased opportunities provided by the program, including several clinics for girls.

“I think it’s a great thing, especially for female hockey, to promote high-performance athletes across the sport. To really grow the female program, it’s crucial to have this up here.”

– Northern Capitals Coach Megan Price

Price believes future camps will open the door for more opportunities for young girls across all sports.
