A 35-year-old man is facing stolen property charges after stealing a vehicle from a VLA home Wednesday morning.
According to the Prince George RCMP, the incident occurred just after 6AM at a home on the corners of Redwood Street and Strathcona Avenue, where two men in masks stole a vehicle and some cash from another man.
At 1:30AM this morning, Mounties conducted a traffic stop in College Heights, but the driver failed to stop.
However, police later tracked down the stolen vehicle to Highway 16 and Cowart Road, where Boyd Mattess was pulled over, along with two female passengers, aged 35 and 37, and taken into custody.
The women were released without any charges, and Mattess is scheduled to appear in Provincial Court today on charges of Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000.
