More College Heights housing takes step forward

Courtesy City of PG

Council has approved third reading for a zoning bylaw that will allow for more housing in College Heights.

The applicant is looking to develop 192 units in the form of apartment buildings and row housing and this application is the next step. The zoning application covers an area of Marleau Road and Southridge Avenue behind the Walmart.

One local resident spoke to the issue listing increased traffic as a concern for him and neighbours he spoke with. He also noted housing would be welcomed, however, not in the form of apartment buildings.

Council unanimously approved the application.

A Traffic Impact Study and Servicing Brief will be completed prior to final reading and adoption.
